Tournament Overview

A fast-paced, Banana Ball-inspired format — short, action-packed games with donation-based twists the whole park will cheer for. Every dollar raised goes directly to ballpark improvements at Hemphill Park.

Who Can Sign Up?

  • ULL Coaches only
  • Maximum 60 coaches
  • Tiebreaker: coaching seniority (years coached at ULL)

How It Works

Four teams, three games, one champion. Inspired by Banana Ball — fast, loud, and built for the crowd.

🏆 The Field

  • 4 teams, 15 players each (11 on the field + 4 coaches)
  • 3 innings or 45-minute time cap, whichever comes first
  • Each inning won = 1 Banana Run. In the third inning, every run counts.

👑 Captains & Home Field

  • Team captains chosen by blind bid — the top 4 bids become captains.
  • Home field advantage goes to the highest team entry bid.
  • Bids fund the park — so the more competitive, the better the improvements.

Fundraising Twists

On-the-spot ways to make the game even more interesting — and to put more money straight into the park improvement fund.

Mulligan Bid

Bid $50 (or more) to challenge an out and get the play replayed. The defense can counter-bid at 1.2× the original to keep the call standing.

Foul Pole Run

Drop $200 to make a player on the opposing team run a foul pole — full sprint, in front of the whole crowd.

Fan Catch in the Stands

Any fly ball caught by a fan in the stands counts as an out. Bring your glove.
